APC Reporter - Unit Tracking Tab - Copy and Paste Issue
Hello. I am using the latest version of APC Reporter that was sent to me yesterday.
On the Unit Tracking tab, I am having a copy-and-paste issue into Excel. When I select all on the Unit Tracking tab and paste into Excel, the header comes in funky like this and I have to manually fix it:
Am I doing something wrong or is this something you can correct in the app?
Re: APC Reporter - Unit Tracking Tab - Copy and Paste Issue
Daniel - No, you're doing nothing wrong - our bad.
We recently (yesterday) responded to a user request to automatically pre-sort the unit name column when switching views using the radio buttons. (Don't worry Neil, I won't say who it is). This required putting the "totals" in the column headers, because the former "Totals" row would get lost in the sorting. To make the column headers pretty, I put a "return" character in the text to make sure the totals value would be on a separate "line" in the header: hence your funny looking grid-copy.
All fixed now - but you will no doubt notice the absence of a "totals" row in what winds up in Excel. Working on that, but it may be harder than it sounds.
Also note: It's not necessary to first select the grid you are copying. Just right-click any cell, and the entire grid will copy.
You should get an "update" link from John soon. Thanks for your patience.

Hey Rob, I used the latest link that was sent to me for the APC Reporter and my version still doesn't show the total on the Unit Tracking tab. Can you please send me the latest version? Thank you.

RE: APC Reporter - Unit Tracking Tab - Copy and Paste Issue
Rob, this is not urgent, but after copying and pasting from the APC Reporter into Excel, we are having to manually calculate the totals that show up in the headers of the APC Reporter. Unless I'm missing something, in a future release, can you please allow us to also copy in the totals from the APC Reporter? Thank you.
